Overview

Fleming College is an Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology. Around 6,800 full-time and 10,000 part-time students are enrolled at the college.

Fleming College is large enough to offer fantastic facilities and small enough to make it easy to fit in. The College has all the advantages of an urban experience in a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. Fleming students develop and perfect their career skills in unique experiential and applied learning environments on-campus and in the community. 

Over 100 full-time programs are available at Fleming College in arts and sciences, business, health and wellness, environmental and natural resource sciences, skilled trades and technology, justice and community development and continuing education. 95.7% of employers were satisfied or very satisfied with Fleming graduates’ preparation for the workplace (Employer Satisfaction Survey, 2017-18).

At Fleming College, there are welcoming and diverse campus societies. The small class numbers guarantee that students understand their professors and other students and develop lifelong relationships with them.

Services for International Students

Among the many services extended by Fleming College are career services, accommodation support, financial aid, healthcare services, and transportation facilities.

Many environmentally friendly and easily accessible modes of transportation, including carpooling, bike sharing, and community riding maps, are offered by the Fleming College Student Administrative Council (SAC). Lindsay Transit Ride Smart provides bus service from Monday through Saturday to and from Frost Campus' main gate.

The College extends orientation events separately for international students and all first-year students.

Accommodation

Accommodation options at Fleming College include homestays, private off-campus apartments and on-campus housing.

Sutherland Residence Village, Severn Residence (Peterborough), and Frost Residence are three residences that provide on-campus housing (Lindsay). Homestay enables overseas students to live with a local family in a fully equipped home.

For Trent University and Fleming College students, Peterborough provides off-campus accommodation.

About Location

Sutherland campus is located in the heart of the Kawarthas in the City of Peterborough and is the College’s largest campus with approximately 4,380 full-time students. Frost Campus is home to over 1,500 students, and Halliburton is the location of the Haliburton School of Art and Design. The Cobourg Campus provides continuing education, corporate training, and academic upgrading courses.
