The University of Alberta was recently recognised for its outstanding educational programs in the Maclean's Education's 2024 Canadian Universities Rankings.
The University of Alberta has earned a place among the top nationally for all five subjects: nursing, education, engineering, computer science, and business. This comprehensive recognition further solidifies the university's position among the top-tier Canadian universities, ranking in the top six.
Nursing, considered one of Alberta's top courses, ranked first in the program reputation and research reputation categories. The university has consistently performed this year, bagging the top position in the QS World University Rankings by Subject.

Overall, the University of Alberta has maintained its consistency and improved its standing to 91st internationally, fourth in Canada in the most recent Academic Ranking of World Universities, and 7th in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings of universities based on their efforts in achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals for 2030.
