The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will establish a two-tiered structure for Designated Learning Institutions starting in 2024, where some DLIs will be designated as Trusted Institutions.
As part of a larger strategy to modernise Canadian Immigration’s International Student Program, the change means that applicants to Trusted Institutions will receive expedited visa processing. Institutions that meet a certain threshold for such criteria would be designated as Trusted Institutions, although details remain sparse at the moment as the changes are finalised.
