Overview

Vancouver Community College (VCC) can date its origins back to 1965 when it brought together the Vancouver School of Art, Vancouver Vocational Institute, the Vancouver School Board's Night School Program, Continuing Education Centre, and the King Edward Senior Matriculation.

Vancouver Community College offers courses for students of all levels. Programmes are available in academic upgrading, apprenticeship training, business, baking, and culinary, design, hair and esthetics, health science, hospitality, instructor training, music and dance, sign language, technology, university transfer, transportation trades, as well as courses for students with disabilities.

Vancouver Community College enrols over 15,000 students every year and has three campuses - the East Broadway's Broadway campus, Dunsmuir and Hamilton, the Downtown campus, and Annacis Island's Annacis Campus.

The College helps students be job-ready by learning industry-relevant academic skills from qualified experts and small classes ensure students have enough time to interact with the faculty and peers.

Tuition fees at the college are the lowest among the B.C public institutions, even offering free tutoring services by professionals.

VCC credits can be transferred to another educational institute in Canada. Students can secure great jobs, qualify for a work permit, and enhance their English and job skills.

Services for International Students

International students get assistance related to program application and registration, medical insurance, and immigrant advice regarding eligibility, study, and work permit. A new international student enrolled in any full-time course of a minimum 5-month duration at the college can be a mentee who will meet the team regularly, take part in events organised at the college and socialise with others, know their culture to overcome homesickness, and better learn about the VCC services.

Orientation events at VCC for new international students covers student services, studying and settling in Vancouver, and a healthy and safe stay.

Vancouver Community College is affiliated with the socialisation of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC) and is ranked 112 in Canada and 6544 worldwide.
