Fees for international students vary depending on the university and type of course. The average fees for undergraduate overseas students in Canada tend to be between CAD 20,000 and 30,000 per year, but this can be significantly more for students studying programmes such as medicine or dentistry. For postgraduate overseas students, the average tuition fee is CAD 17,744.

The average cost of living in Canada will be significantly higher when located in metropolitan cities such as Vancouver, Toronto or Montreal. Generally, students will need to budget a further CAD 10,0000 - 11,000 annually to cover living expenses such as books, stationery, food, bills, travel and social costs.
Most Canadian universities and colleges have on-campus accommodation, but space is limited so be sure to apply early. If you live in on-campus accommodation, you can expect to pay CAD 8,000-10,000 per year. If you live off-campus in private accommodation, rent can be higher.
International students will require a student visa, which is known as a Study Permit in Canada to study at a Canadian university or Designated Learning Institution. The cost of this permit is approximately CAD 150.
